About The Mosquito Hostel

Situated just minutes from Krakow central train station, the Mosquito Hostel is an ambient place where guests are welcomed with open arms. Given the small nature of Krakow, you won’t have much trouble finding your way to the main tourist attractions.

The hostel is located less than 10 minutes from the shopping mall and the central train station. Guests have an added benefit in that the hostel organizes trips to the Salt Mines and Auschwitz, with external private company. When you go by car, the trip takes a half-day but it’s completely worth it.

It has very tall bunks, something that makes the rooms not to feel too confined. It features spacious personal lockers and very comfortable mattresses and pillows. But you need to note that their mattresses have a plastic cover on them, which makes noise when you move, which you might find annoying. Other guests might interfere with your quality of sleep, but the rooms are generally of a very high quality. Their bathrooms are clean but the ventilation could be improved to keep out the occasional odor that comes out.

The Mosquito Hostel has cozy and comfortable common areas. The kitchen seems just recently renovated and has all the facilities you need to make your own food. Guests are served free tea and coffee from this kitchen. The hostel serves free breakfast buffet that includes several types of breads, cereals, cold meats, cheeses, yogurt, jams, milk and tea and coffee. It has a spacious dining area and it’s also where staffs can hold social events especially at night.

For most nights the hostel staffs organize events in their dining area, and can take you for more clubbing and drinking. It’s a perfect opportunity to meet and mingle with fellow travelers to see what Krakow has to offer in terms of nightlife. Their staffs are very enthusiastic and welcoming, but your experience will very much depend on other guests. In terms of security, this is one of the safest places in Krakow. It is monitored with CCTV cameras, and doesn’t allow non-authorized people to access rooms. Even girls will spend time here without any worries.
